It
is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to differentiate Nickerl's
Fritillaries from Assmann's Fritillaries without capturing specimens,
dissecting them and examining the reproductive organs.
Not wishing to do this, I have therefore dedicated this one page

altitude points to Nickerl's Fritillary rather than Assmann's Fr, which
usually flies at lower levels.
